About This Work

Mysteria Memetica by Ksenia Buridanova demonstrates her masterful command of Old Master techniques applied to contemporary internet iconography. The composition centers on a gathering of Pepe the Frog figures rendered with the kind of attention to light and shadow typically reserved for Dutch Golden Age portraiture.
