Rebel Money’s BELIEVE is a direct look at what we actually put our faith in: the money printers or the blockchain. A Guy Fawkes/Jesus figure mounted onto a cross made of US dollars depicts the mythical sacrifice made by the anonymous creator of Bitcoin, and ode to its immaculate conception. The typical "INRI" has been replaced with the Bitcoiner's motto, "HODL", which in this context could take both a optimistic or an ominous tone, depending on the viewer. A proper ode to Satoshi Nakamoto, BELIEVE is one of the most controversial artworks in the BMAG collection due to it's depiction of the creator as a Christ-like figure, something that many people in this space truly believe.
