About This Work
This shirt was given to legendary early Bitcoin contributor Hal Finney during his employment at PGP Corporation.Hal was one of the original programmers on PGP version 2.0, alongside Phil Zimmerman, author of the program. Hal worked unofficially on PGP from 1991 to 1996 and then as an employee from 1996-2010 before PGP Corp was acquired by Symantec.Hal’s wife Fran has provided the shirt for this no reserve auction and believes it came into his possession in 2008.
